World Intellectual Property Organisation (WIPO) regulations regard
intellectual property rights to apply to property produced on the basis of
intellectual creation, particularly inventions and works of literature or
art. "Property rights" pertain to situations in which
inventions or creative works with copyright protection may only be utilised
with the agreement of the inventor, author or other "owner of
rights".
